As you possibly had a long flight to Africa we usually recommend easy start while also reducing the distances therefore, after breakfast at your lodge you will drive to Tarangire National Park. The driving is via Arusha city just in case of any last minute purchase or changing money, then drive across Masai steppe & along many village all the way to the gate. After registration at the gate you will start you first game of your safari in the African wilderness.

Tarangire park is famous for its huge baobab trees & larger elephant population, the varied habitats in this park supports larger number of animal & bird species which include the threes rare species of Great Kudu, Fringed-Eared Oryx & the Ash staling. You may also expect to spot lions, cheetahs, giraffe, wildebeest, buffalo, hippos, warthogs, gazelles, dikdiks, the rare long necked gerenuks and others. Late in the afternoon drive to Marera Valley Lodge for dinner and overnight. On the way you will have a brief stop for sunset & washroom at Lake Manyara view point which is at the edge of the Great East African Reft Valley.

Breakfast at the lodge depart for Ndutu plains for the Wildebest Migration calving safari in Southern Serengeti. The driving is via beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu & many villages, you will have a brief stop at the Loduare Main Gate for check into Ngorongoro Conservation Area, after you will drive up to Ngorongoro crater view point for some nice pictures and stunning views of the crater floor from the rim. You will then drive further to Lake Ndutu area where the action takes place during the months of December through March. Packed lunch will be served in one of the picnic site, after lunch & some rest embark on your afternoon game drive searching for big cats, big herds of wildebeest migration & the actions. Late Afternoon drive to Ndutu Safari Lodge or Serengeti Savannah Ndutu Camp for dinner & overnight. Other camps also available depending on your budget and preference

Spend 2 full days of game drive at Ndutu plains within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ndutu plains is where it all happens in the month of January to March as the wildebeests Migration give birth to thousands of young calves every day. At Ndutu plains with the green pastures during this time of the year and the rich mineral soils that the herds adore you are sure to see the thousands of wildebeests accompanied by zebras, and gazelles spread along vast areas, as well as have the rare chance to witness some real wildlife action as the predators engage the herds and try to snatch their loved newly born foals.

Walking safari with an armed range is also an optional activity that you can enjoy at Ndutu, and you only need to ask your diver to arrange that. Accompanied by an armed ranger you will see animals at close range while listening to the lectures offered by the trained naturalists and rangers. Ndutu is also an amazing place to be for the avid bird watchers with 400 recorded resident and migratory bird species recorded. Late afternoon return back to your lodge /camp for dinner & overnight.

breakfast, enjoy a full day of game dive at the Mara River viewing the great migration river crossing. In the evening, back to the camp for the evening bonfire, dinner and overnight.

River crossings at Kogatende start to occur every day in August as the mega herd settles into the area.  From August to October, game viewing up here is superb with river crossings pretty much guaranteed every day.  There is no distinct movement as the herds tend to cross back and forth over the river, following the rains and subsequent fresh grasses.  It is not uncommon to see different herds crossing in different directions on the same day.

It worth a visit to central Serengeti National Park around Seronera River one of the permanent water source in the park which support larger wildlife especially during the dry season. Many bird species, big cats & other animals can be seen along the river & kopjes. You can visit Seronera visitors centers for some momentary the Great Serengeti National Park. Later in the afternoon drive to Kisura Serengeti Camp or Kati Kati Tented Camp for dinner & overnight.

Day 7 Serengeti – Ngorongoro Creater

On this day the Wildebeest Migration Calving Safari package takes you to The Ngorongoro Crater. After early morning breakfast, check out of the lodge & start your en-route game drive towards Ngorongoro Crater, check out & into Ngorongoro side at Naabi Hills Gate and drive to Seneto gate where you will descend over 600 meters high walls into the crater floor for a full day of Game drives. Ngorongoro Crater the world nature wander was formed some 3 million years ago due to some external forces inside earth crust. After eruption it sank down at the middle & form a huge caldera left over 600 meters high walls.

Supported by yearly around water supply the crater estimated to supports over 20000 animals roaming around in such small area of about 29 Kilometers across. The Crater offers the last chance to clock the Big five with the best chance to spot the black rhinos and leopards, you may also expect to spot lion, hyenas, cheetahs, Jackals, eland, African elephant, buffalo, warthog & hippos at their pool located at the middle of the crater. Late afternoon ascend up the Crater rim for overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge or drive out of the Conservation Area for an overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House or Farm House Valley at Karatu nearby.

Day 8 Ngorongoro – Arusha- Depature

Breakfast at your lodge then drive back to Arusha where your safari ends. At Arusha you can be dropped at Arusha Airport for a flight to Zanzibar or transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure.
